Beijing's scenery is never a single painting, but rather a multifaceted symphony woven through time, each stroke imbued with the weight of history and the vibrant energy of life.

A journey through springtime Beijing begins at the West Causeway of the Summer Palace. Willow branches are just beginning to turn a pale yellow, and peach blossoms spread their pink and white clouds along the embankment. Cruise ships ply Kunming Lake, shattering the azure blue and white clouds and awakening the imperial gardens from a winter's slumber. For a dose of urban life, head to Yuyuantan. Beneath the cherry trees, people pitch tents. The wind carries the aroma of snacks and the sounds of children's laughter, softening even the air.

The warmth of midsummer lingers in the evening breeze of Shichahai. During the day, lotuses stand gracefully beside Qiongdao Island in Beihai Park, their red walls framed by green foliage, creating the most elegant scene for cooling off in the summer heat. By evening, the shores of Shichahai gradually come alive, with some enjoying nighttime cruises on pedal boats, others enjoying live performances outside bars, and the old locust trees lining the shore cast dense shade, quietly shielding the summer heat from view.

Autumn is Beijing's most breathtaking time. Ditan Park's Ginkgo Avenue is carpeted in golden yellow, sunlight filtering through the branches and leaves, weaving dappled shadows across the ground. Walking through it feels like stepping into a warm fairytale. The crimson leaves of Xiangshan are the most striking touch of autumn. Red maples and sumac trees intertwine across the hills, their leaves rustling in the wind. Looking up, even the sky is painted with an exceptionally bright light.

Winter Beijing possesses a uniquely tranquil beauty. The Forbidden City is most captivating after snowfall, its red walls and yellow tiles coated in a thin layer of white snow, the auspicious beasts on the eaves shrouded in frost. Walking along the empty stone streets, one can almost hear the echoes of history. On clear days, the surface of Shichahai Lake freezes over, and the sound of people skating on the ice, their laughter piercing the chill of winter, adds a touch of liveliness to the chilly winter.

From imperial gardens to the streets of the city, from the vibrant blossoms of spring to the white snow of winter, Beijing's scenery holds stories of the past as well as the mundane daily life. Every glimpse reveals the tenderness and profoundness that is unique to this city.
